Rhonda Sutton is a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of North Carolina and a National Certified Counselor. She holds a doctorate in Counselor Education from North Carolina State University (May 1999). Dr. Sutton has provided counseling to adults, adolescents and couples since 1988. She began her work as a counselor at the Wake County Women's Center and continues to work with clients on issues related to sexual assault, domestic violence, trauma, abuse, depression, anxiety, substance abuse, self mutilation, and life transitions. She also provides supervision to those seeking licensure as counselors in North Carolina. Rhonda is certified to administer the MBTI (Myers-Briggs) and the EQi (BarOn Emotional Intelligence Tool). Dr. Sutton's counseling orientation is eclectic, and she utilizes person-centered, cognitive-behavioral and solution-focused therapies to help her clients work through their concerns so they may live better lives.
