Merya V. Wolfe, M.A., LCSW, holds a Masters Degree in Clinical Psychology and is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the state of North Carolina. She has over 20 years of experience in providing individual, marital and family therapy for adults, adolescents and children . She has specialty in providing therapy for both child and adult victims of childhood sexual abuse and other severe trauma. She utilizes Family Therapy, Play therapy, Solution Focused, Cognitive-Behavioral and Insight Oriented approaches and is experienced in using the EMDR technique. Merya has extensive experience in helping families and individuals who struggle with depression and anxiety or couples dealing with marital discord, including infidelity or divorce. For the past 20 years she also has worked at Wake County Human Services providing therapy and services for families impacted by child abuse and neglect. The last 8 years there she has provided staff supervision for social workers. Her style is personable and warm with a focus on hope and client empowerment.
