Marshall Glover graduated from North Carolina State University with a master’s degree in Counselor Education. He is a North Carolina Licensed Professional Counselor and board certified by the National Board for Certified Counselors. Marshall’s counseling practice is informed by his extensive experience in public health education, specifically in the emotional and psychological effects of infectious diseases. As former director of the Centers for Disease Control’s National STD Hotline, Marshall has advocated for sexual health concerns and women’s health issues to the public and the media. Marshall’s experience also includes an internship counseling Vietnam War veterans, with a focus on Post-traumatic stress issues. In addition, Marshall values the power of creativity both in life and in therapy, and has a passionate interest in using writing therapy with clients. Marshall is currently a columnist for The Apex Herald newspaper - his monthly mental health column, "On Your Mind", addresses topics of interest to the general population. His practice is currently open to adults and older adolescents who would like assistance with personal, emotional, behavioral, or career issues.
