Karen is a state licensed and nationally certified counselor who has worked in a community agency setting for over six years, and has 9 years of clinical experience. She counsels individuals, families, and couples on coping and healing from trauma. She uses creative, expressive arts as a tool in recovery both with groups and individuals and has collaborated with artists to expand the resources available to clients. She has led several writing groups and also employs creative movement, sandtray, and other expressive arts in her therapys when appropriate. She has worked with individuals on substance abuse, gender, grief, relationship, personal growth, and transition issues. Karen is committed to creating a safe place for healing and growth in partnership with her clients.
