Jennifer Terry is a NC Licensed Professional Counselor and Certified Rehabilitation Counselor, with a Master’s Degree in Rehabilitation Psychology and Counseling. She has experience working with psychological, emotional, social, and spiritual issues in chronic illness and disability. Jennifer has worked with adults for 7 years in the fields of integrative medicine and health psychology, providing counseling and health education in a variety of individual and group settings. She has experience in cardiac rehabilitation, pulmonary rehabilitation, depression, anxiety, smoking cessation, stress management, and weight management. She has taught mindfulness meditation and relaxation techniques for health and stress reduction in individual and group settings. Her counseling style is supported by her experience in the field of integrative medicine, specifically in the mind-body-spirit connection of illness and disability. Jennifer counsels adults using a person-centered, mind-body-spirit approach, incorporating Cognitive-Behavioral and Motivational Interviewing strategies. Her focus areas include rehabilitation counseling, anxiety, stress reduction, smoking cessation and general adult counseling.
